"How do you feel at this point about your journey to become a teacher?"
My journey so far in learning to become a teacher has been a very beneficial experience. I am learning my weaknesses and strengths and what it takes to become an effective teacher. I have to admit, while taking all of these education courses and being in the actual classroom setting, there are times where I feel a bit overwhelmed. Even though it is very challenging, I know that it is necessary in helping me become the kind of teacher that I truly want to be. I absolutely love and adore children so I know that even if there are times that I am stressed I just remember that this is my passion and I truly want this more than anything, to make a difference in a child’s life. I am excited and ready to continue learning throughout my journey. Do you question at times your readiness for the classroom and if you are able to handle it?

I sure do and I've been doing this a very long time! You'll make it through and because of your passion for children, you'll be such an asset to the teaching profession!
ReplyDeleteI understand what when you say you are still learning about your strengths and weaknesses! I am doing the same as well, but I believe it is something we will continue doing through out our teaching careers. I get very overwhelmed as well with everything we have to do, but once I have done it I feel like it has benefited me in many ways. I think it is great that you are able to pull yourself back together when reminding yourself for the love of teaching! I believe this is something we all need to be able to do. I know that the teachers now feel overwhelmed with everything they need to have done, but it is something you learn work around and get it done in a non-stressful manner.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! There are many times when I feel like there is way too much to accomplish and that I might not ever get used to this lifestyle. However, I feel the same about children and their the only thing keeping me going. As anxious as I am to get into my own classroom and get out of school, there is much more that I need to learn before having my own class. I think that there is always giong to be that feeling of unreadiness, you just have to look past it and have confidence that it will all work out. We are in the major for a reason so why doubt ourselve?!
