  2. Inquiry is definately something that is going to continue throughout my student teaching experience and through my experience once I am finally a professional teacher. It is good to always have these wonderings because without them you wouldn't learn anything about your students or yourself. With that being said, you wouldn't learn what it really means to be a teacher and helping others. I find myself questioning things that happen at my PDS everytime, such as what teaching strategies work best for each individual child. What motivates children to learn? How can you help them reach their full potential? I think it is very important to never stop wondering. It can only benefit you and your students and make your job that much more meaningful.

  3. Buena, I agree with you about inquiry following us throughout the rest of our teaching career. I too find myself wondering all the time I am at my PDS and now a days you have to really step up and almost act as a parent to your students because discipline is not being done at home. I am not saying that all children need discipline, but with a lot of ours schools having greater low SES students, the discipline is just not there. With that, you have to wonder, why is this child acting this way and come up with a way that the disciplinary action will be successful.

  4. You have great questions, are you seeing any of them being answered by your mentor teacher in your classroom? It is so important to question your teaching throughout your student teaching experiences and once you are a professional teacher. Great post and thanks for inviting me to blog.

  5. I agree 100%; we are always going to have wonderings no matter how much we think we know. Everyday is different and brings with it new challenges. These challenges are going to make us think much more and much deeper. I think if you didn’t have any wonderings, then you really don’t care and probably shouldn’t be a teacher. However, hopefully this is not the case and that our educator’s in today’s world want the best for each and every student.
